If you’re attending the Commemoration and Creativity evening (Fri. 28th, 5-9.30pm), please send a short creative contribution! As you’ll know from the programme, Geetha Upadhyaya from Kala Sangam will be closing the evening with a performance. Using her training in classical Indian dance, Geetha will interpret *your* contributions, to create her piece.

We’d like therefore to gather contributions from you, under theme ‘Recovery, Resistance, Healing’. These contributions take the form of one or two lines through which you reframe your understanding of disaster. You can write a Haiku, a couplet, or a sentence, or pick a line from a poem, or a sentence from a piece of fiction or other writing – the choice is yours! We’d like to send these to Geetha on Wednesday, so that she can work with them; suggestions now would be much appreciated, but there will be a small window for contributions on Friday.

Contributions can be sent by email:
or to our twitter account: @PocoDisaster [and @Kala_Sangam if you have space!]
or can be posted on our Reframing Disaster Facebook group

We hope you’ll be excited by the opportunity to collaborate in this dynamic way, and look forward to receiving your contributions!
